You’ll be working with the Cisco IOS software to setup and configure your set of hardware in varying configurations. We’ll be doing small class sizes with multiple classes.

Hacking the PowerBag – Quick and easy lunchtime hack
by Ben Eishen on Feb.07, 2012, under Electronics
Today a buddy at work got a new PowerBag, come to find out the micro usb cable would not charge his Galaxy Nexus. The .8 A that the micro USB port was putting out was not enough to charge the device. Luckily there was an apple port that was rated to charge devices at 1 amp. Since he doesn’t own any apple devices, a quick snip took care of the Apple plug. A little solder, and a donor micro USB cable the PowerBag had a brand new micro USB that would charge the Nexus!

Lunch & Open Day at the space this Saturday 1/21
by Joe on Jan.16, 2012, under Events, Meetings
Now that the holidays are over it’s time to get events going again. In the spirit of realizing that not everyone can make our public Friday night meetings (either at republic or at the space) we’ve had a lot of conversations about how to get potential members involved with the group outside of Friday meetings. Our first idea was to do a social public area lunch and then head back to the space for a casual / social afternoon at the space. If you’re a member, come work on projects or anything you may need help with. If you’re not a member, come hang out with the group and see what we’re all about and take a tour of the space.
This Saturday we’re going to do “Lunch with the Makers”. We’re planning on meeting at the Pizza Hut (of sadness) on Union (1961 Union Ave Memphis, TN 38104) at noon. We’ll hang out and eat and then head to the space. The plan is to be back at the space at 2 or so. Come eat lunch with us and come see what’s been going on at the space.
Where: Pizza Hut (of sadness) on Union (1961 Union Ave Memphis, TN 38104)
When: 1/21 Noon @ pizza hut Space @ 2pm
